Independence Day celebrations 2026

Sri Akshara marked the 80th Independence Day with assembly, patriotic programmes, and the national flag. Students came in uniform and in costume—army dress, traditional attire, and the small flags that make a school morning feel like a country remembering itself.

Teachers and families stood with them. The stage carried the Ashoka Chakra and the colours of the tricolour. It was a day of salute, song, and belonging.

Our school

A campus that still feels like a neighbourhood.

Founded in 1999, Sri Akshara grew from a small idea: that excellent teaching and a kind community belong together. We still believe a child should be known by name, stretched by ideas, and sent home tired in the best way.

A path from first steps to leaving well

Programmes that grow with your child.

Why families choose us

A school that feels like a promise kept.

Parents tell us they came for the academics and stayed because their child was seen—kindly, consistently, and with high expectation.

01

Academic depth, without the rush

A thoughtful curriculum that builds mastery, curiosity, and the confidence to ask better questions.

02

The whole child, every day

Music, sport, service, and quiet time sit beside mathematics. Childhood is not an extra-curricular.

03

Teachers who stay

Experienced faculty, small groups, and the kind of attention a parent notices by the first term.

04

A campus built for growing

Laboratories, libraries, playing fields, and studios designed so children can try, fail, and try again.

05

A wider world in view

Languages, exchange of ideas, and a civic sense that reaches beyond the school gate.

06

Parents as partners

Clear communication, an open door, and a community that treats families as part of the work.

For parents

The promises we make to families.

A school website should tell you how it feels to leave your child with us in the morning. This is how we try to be.

Safety, first and always

Controlled entry, trained staff, a nurse on campus, and routines that let children feel free because they are looked after.

You will hear from us

We return calls within a school day. Report cards never replace a conversation. Parents are partners, not spectators.

Character is taught, not assumed

Courtesy, honesty, and service are practised in assembly, in the corridor, and when no one is watching.

Rooms worth lingering in.

The campus

Rooms worth lingering in.

Laboratories, a generous library, studios, playing fields, and quiet corners. Every space is kept so that children can work with their hands and their minds—and so that parents feel the same calm when they walk through.

Walk the campus

From our community

What parents and alumni tell us.

We measure our work in the quiet confidence of a child who is happy to come to school on a Monday.

“

The school feels calm the moment you walk in. My son is stretched in class, but he is also known—his teacher can tell me how his week really went.

Rajesh Kumar

Parent of a Grade 4 student

“

Sri Akshara did not only prepare me for examinations. It taught me how to belong to a community, and how to try things that frightened me a little.

Priya Sharma

Alumna, Class of 2016

“

We chose Akshara for the balance: serious academics, a kind campus, and staff who treat parents as partners rather than an audience.

Dr. Anil Patel

Parent of a Grade 9 student

“

The teachers remembered who I was. That sounds small until you are sixteen and trying to become someone. It gave me a foundation I still use.

Meera Nair

Alumna, Class of 2014

We would be glad to meet you

Come and see the school for yourself.

A morning on campus tells you more than a prospectus. We would be honoured to show you around, introduce you to teachers, and answer the questions that matter to your family.
